Adventures In Peacemaking (AIP)
Adventures In Peacemaking (AIP) is a conflict resolution program that features games, team challenges, songs, reading and writing activities that integrate multiple intelligences. In addition, the program addresses the social and emotional needs of children ages 5-12. The program key components cover five thematic areas: cooperation, communication, appreciation for diversity, understanding feelings, and conflict resolution, as well as the creation of a peaceable environment (The Peace Place).
After School Arts Program (ASAP)
After School Arts Program (ASAP) includes hands-on visual art, music, dance, and drama programs led by artist educators-in-residence working with children enrolled in LA’s BEST. Each 10-week residency concludes with a special culmination event, which brings the community together to celebrate the talent and accomplishments of the children.
